Harmons Valley UMC was originally built in Mohawk, Tennessee, in 1896, as a Lutheran Church. The property was transferred
to M.E. Church South in 1919, when the Methodist Church was organized. The little church building was moved, piece by piece
on wagon, to its present location on May 21, 1934 to land donated by Billy Harmon (a Lutheran). The floor plan of the church
is in the shape of a cross, with the large part being the sanctuary, and the pulpit in the center of one end. The church is
made up of around 50 members. We are just a small country church who loves to rejoice and worship the Lord. Come and visit
us sometime for a real blessing.
